A Reader Tutorial (Like I'm An Expert)

All righty, friends.  Turns out having a front blog isn't as easy as it looks.  Go figure.  We're still working out the kinks here, two of which seem to be:

1.) The front blog, Sassy B WHO?!, (THIS ONE!) isn't showing up in people's Readers (of various forms).

2.) People can't comment on Well okay, Sassy Britches! (THE OTHER BLOG)

So, my loverly friend TMC has been assisting me with figuring this all out, along with guinea pig friends who put up with my Facebook pesterings.  That being said, I have three reminders for you:

If you use the Blogger Dashboard Reader:

Make sure Sassy B WHO?! is listed down the lefthand side of Blogs I'm Following.  And when you click on it there, make sure there are actual posts listed on the righthand side, and it's not saying something crazy like "Cannot Detect Feed."  If it is, click on Manage, manually unfollow, and then put the Sassy B WHO?! website address back in again to follow (kinda like how computer companies won't help you when you call Customer Service until you turn off your computer and start it again).

If you use another Reader (i.e., Google, Yahoo, whatevs):

You will need to manually insert the Sassy B WHO?! website address into your Reader.  Just following it on Blogger doesn't update your various Readers.

I have put a widget on the sidebar that might help with other Readers too.  I am unfamiliar with this type of technology, so no guarantees.  But, TMC tells me that if you use another Reader, you can click on Posts, and the dropdown menu has different Readers listed.  If you choose yours, Sassy B WHO?! is automatically put into your Reader, so you don't have to manually put the website address in.  I hope.  Like I said, this one I'm not too familiar with.

As for Comments at Well okay, Sassy Britches!:

My dumb ass thought that restricting viewing access (aka "Permission") to invited people also spilled over into needing to restrict "Comments."  I had it set to only allow "Members of this Blog" to be allowed to comment; turns out that's just me.  Bahaaaaa!  So, now I THINK you (invited people of WOSB) can all comment.

E-mail me if none of this is the case.  And I will poke my eyes out and get back to you.
